This is a natural seal stone that my grandfather kept in his home for a long time, starting around the 1980s. It was carefully preserved as part of his collection from when he enjoyed calligraphy.
m(_ _)m

This is a natural stone seal material, believed to have been imported from China and one that was circulated in the domestic market.

■
Size: Approx. 1.8cm square (Rokubun Han - approx. 1.8cm)
Length: Approx. 6.7cm
Weight: Approx. 54g (has a solid, substantial weight)
Material: Natural Stone (Frozen quality seal stone, believed to be Shoushan type)
Included: Tortoiseshell pattern cloth box

■
The stone has a soft luster like beeswax, and when held up to the light, a subtle transparency can be seen within depending on the angle.

Seal stones from around the 1980s are aged items, and may exhibit a more subdued surface compared to current products.

■
This is an old item that has been stored unused for a long time.
There may be minor scuffs or a settled surface due to age, but please only consider this item if you understand and appreciate the natural material and the unique texture of vintage items.
We hope it finds a new owner at a reasonable price who understands the characteristics and provenance of this item.
m(_ _)m

This item is for those who can enjoy the expression of a unique, time-worn piece rather than the perfection of a new item.
We hope you can feel the expression of this natural stone that has quietly accumulated time.
