SC3 Marcello Cuneo Rare Large Vintage Ceramic Table Lamp Gabbianelli Italy 1960s
Gabbianelli
Rare, oversized example of the iconic SC3 table lamp, designed by Marcello Cuneo for Gabbianelli, Italy, circa 1960s-70s. This sculptural, space-age piece is glazed in a glossy yellow finish with the signature off-center circular cutaway that conceals the bulb one of Cuneo's most recognizable design motifs from this era. Stamped SC3 Italy on the underside, confirming authenticity to the maker. SC3 Italy No. 6018 This example is noticeably larger in scale than the smaller paired versions of the SC3 more commonly found on the market (see photos for comparison) we have been unable to locate another example of this size currently for sale or in past sold listings, making this a genuinely hard-to-find piece for serious collectors of Italian mid-century design Condition: Vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age light glaze nicks along the rim edge and small firing pinholes on the interior base (typical of the ceramic process, see close-up photos). Includes original cord with inline switch. Please note: the cord shows visible cracking/fraying with exposed wire at one point along its length (see close-up photo) sold as-is, and we'd recommend having it inspected or rewired by a qualified electrician before use. Bulb base type: [confirm E14/E27]. Dimensions: 8 H x 9 W x 7 please see photos with tape measure for reference. A striking, statement making piece of Italian design history. Would pair beautifully with mid-century modern, Memphis, or space-age interiors.
